Hi everyone!
We are at that point again when it has become too difficult to keep track of which manga suggestions are valid and which are not.
I know we have a list going in the other thread, and that is great, but forgive me for finding it incredibly difficult to keep track of every single one of them and which ones are better than others.
One of my biggest weaknesses is the requirement for continuous, at-a-glance, reliable lists that illustrate exactly what we can and cannot do under any given circumstance. In the case of manga suggestions, that would be "if we had a willing JP translator", "if we had the raws", "if we had the speed", etc. There are all kinds of circumstances and some become available while others do not. In some cases a JP translator will join specifically to work on that manga. A serious problem for this group is the lack of speed which I actually don't have a problem with - but others do. We have certainly improved the speed on many of our projects, which is fantastic, but because we are all volunteers that speed can rapidly decline once we gained it if someone gets busy with something else. My point is that this list needs to take into account different scenarios. This list needs to be updated every now and then, and this list should stay gigantic-manga-suggestion-block free since we can't take on more than one new project a month (given our capacity limits).
Basic structural overview:
Current Manga in Production with new project specifications based on current staff situation:
Joint operations:
TRAP, HTN, GR, PPG, SOTD
What new projects can we pick up here? As many as we want or as few as we want - it depends on staff limitations.
Slow Pipe:
CM-C, OF, Sengoku, Doraemon (which will be dropped in probably a month or two).
We can pick up one new project max once Doraemon is dropped.
Fast Pipe:
BD, BK, HKN, KOCHI
We cannot pick up any new projects at this time.
S-D 1:
BTT, SAK
No new projects until production increases and staff are available to translate and work on it.
S-D 2:
FAC, R&G
No new projects for the foreseeable future.
